Yes saw that earlier today............making Laurel and Hardy look like experts.............mind you Sydney Harbour on New Years Eve has had similar incidents of top shelf incompetence...........
C'mon. That is nothing special.
Even I could do that.
gary
Geez, I dunno Gary, that looked to me to be a stellar effort that us mere mortals would struggle to replicate.
Imagine being the poor bloody crew, trying to look all professional and proper whilst your skipper stamps his mark on arrival...literally!

Crew? Crew?
No problem.
As skipper, my job is to scream and when things go bad, throw my hat on the deck and curse someone.
It takes a bit of practice, but easy once you get the hang of it.
The rule is , Don't Throw your hat with your expensive sunglasses clipped to it.
Have you read the comments... It was apparently a boat full of skippers from a yachting school.
Personally I don't understand why the Med mooring technique.. It seems to me to just be a why of squeezing in as many paying boats as possible... I'm not sure if I'd sail around the Mediterranean just purely on the prospect of having to moore like this....

So that's why so many people do crazy **** like this, they teach them to do it like that.
Yes the stern too thing is normal in the Med to get more boats in.
There are some amazing spots in the med. Just stay away from busy areas in places like Greece and Turkey in August.
Standard behaviour in the Med, I skippered a flotilla in the Ionian sea around Corfu/ Paxos in the early 00's , in the Med most yachties think they are driving power boats and have no idea, just need to kill the power guard the rails and let the breeze blow you in.
