I am not for either at $149K unless the car park space returns 20% nett return per annum.
So my calculator says that someone would need to be paying me $576 per week to park his or her car there.
The yacht will most likely be a 20% loss per annum and my calculator says that it would cost me $576 per week to own.
My first investing rule is never to make a financial decision before my calculator has the opportunity to show me what an idiot I am. ![]()

Hi Cisco,
I just had my first smile of the morning.
Thanks mate.
I am looking at the Cord 32 today.
This Catalina is probably selling for what it cost new back in 2001.

Robert Perry design so it would be good. But there is a very large bill looming for that deck and some of that varnish work below is never going to come back. But that is a lovely interior. I think you should always buy a boat with your heart and never consider the business or financial aspects. As long as you can afford it of course. Think of it as a mistress.

So true!!
I used to drool over Windspirit. It must have been a high end boat in its heyday.
There looks like quite bit of water is getting into the interior, which will be a pain in neck to remove the cladding to re-do the fittings.
