Appreciate advice of why this Mackay hose is stated as not suitable for marine applications. It is $10/m not twice that for Vetus. Ok I get the 2.5mins fire rating on the Vetus................I am not planning to start a fire...............appreciate advice if anyone is successfully using this Mackay hose or what is a suitable 8mm ID diesel hose at a cost effective price? thanks in advance.

Rob I have no idea why it's stated not for marine use, perhaps the outboard users have UV issues and the 2.5 min fire rate on the vetus is only a 150 second safety margin ! I don't think 8mm copper would be $20/ m yet ? Fuel hose is fuel hose and Aussie made has to comply with AU standard . To answer your question I've been using it for years in different machines & vehicles without problem

Many thanks Kevin I will buy that Mackay hose. Trust you are going ok up there with the horrendous rain and river outflows. regards Rob
