Forgive the ignorance,

I'm not sure how to interpret this drawing, especially the number columns in the middle of the sail.

Could you please explain what the cypher is?

How do you come up with the total m2 and what dimensions and profile configurations create the total m2? How do I make this a 4-5.5 m2 sail?
Luff length?
Foot length?
Leech and roach?

What sorts of outhaul and downhaul tensions are we looking at with a 480-28 up to a 520-33 mast?

Kaona, the chart is used to plot and cut the luff curve so a wind surfer sail will fit the mast curve for a landyacht. The measurements are taken in increments along the luff. It is not used to measure the area of a sail.....wok

So,

This helps you lay out the shape of the sail cut when modifying the luff of the sail?

4500-0 is the length of the foot?
Then you move up the sail 35 and measure from the leech and make a mark at 4200?
Up 70 and mark at 3900? etc.etc.etc.

4500(4.5metres) from the foot(boom length)
So 300mm up from foot 45mm(X1), 600 up from foot 90mm(X2), 900mm up from foot 125mm(X3), etc, etc

Got it guys, Thanks.

What about the shape of the leech?

And is the L/B 72 degrees from the straight reference line from tack to tip or from the final shape of the sail?
