Hey ho ppls
Are there any around.
Where do you go to ride
Ive only just started got a pro6 and an 8m accessxc thanks to kitehard
b cool to c others at it (landboarding that is <smirk>)
I dont know much about the areas and was about to ask the same question myself as I've just recently got set up, I go to city beach in a small park (jubilee?) behind the carparks. tiny area, but close to home and not too gusty.
james
Gees,
it seems like there is a bit of a posse starting to gather. I reckon a ride would be good with others, so much more entertaining ![]()
Not sure If I'll end up at the Avon descent this weekend, but if not, I reckon it could be on in the park by Stirling Council.
Just beware that the RC helicopters arent flying and if they are, give them a wide berth. A helicopter in your lines could get ugly! ![]()

i keen as to get at it and start landbording when those light sseabreezes start!!!
wat should i expect to pay for a setup???
not wanting to spend to much as i have already spent sh** loads!!
and only wanting it for when there is not enough wind to get going on my twinny!!
got a cheap setup there kite hard???
Hi there Graceful,
You're not going to believe it but I just sold a board that I had for cheap. I only have new stuff available at the moment.
We have some MBS Core 95 (~$470)which should be plenty tough enough for what you want to do. If you ride on grass, you can use an inflatable kite, if you have foils you can ride on hard surfaces.
Grass requires a bit more power than bitumen, salt or dirt. A 6 knot breeze with my 8m foil is great fun in a carpark.
If I can help you out, let me know. The beauty of landboarding is you can do it in any wind direction in very light winds if you have the right gear.
Call me on 0433 982 696 to discuss what we can do for you or arrange a demo ride. It looks like we may even get a bit of a crew happening, it could be fun on a 12 knot day! Ride always!
Cheers mate,![]()

Where do u go Jezza
considering the amount of wind a the mo could be cool 4 a muck around and a few face plants >)
Hey Cazme,
Depends on time really, for a quick run in town i find it hard to go past smart park in spearwood. Out of town runs would be down dwellingup way, or the goat farm (haven't been there in years but and heard it's changed a fair bit)
so any of you guy's going to give it go this weekend winds looks fairly good.. wouldn't mind getting backing into lanboarding - my core 8's just gathering dust!
There's a fairly big reserve near me off roe highway just off the exit to nicholson Rd. near wilfred street, plenty big for a few kites - could be worth checking out..se winds are the best away from the highway.
@graceful best on Easterly winds, like this coming weekend. You need 20+meter lines. The buildings push the wind high(especially in onshore winds i.e with a southerly component),so you need to keep the kite high too. On a Southerly it doesn't work too well at all, that was a southerly in the video....
Anything from ese to wsw works there. There are 4-5 good spots in Perth.
I'd do better to check back here after I've posted something wouldn't I?
Anyway, took this today on my new hemet cam out at the Goat Farm:
Righto lads, graceful and I are hitting Smart Park at Spearwood on Saturday arvo at about 2pm for a bit of downhill. It's between Barrington and Barrett st, and I should have room in my ute for one more if anyone needs a lift.
