I am looking to taking up kite surfing but i9 am keen to do it properly and get a few lessons before I buy gear etc so that I can do it safely etc.
Could anyone recommend a school/teacher around the Western suburb areas? I live in Cott so Leighton beach or the river would be perfect.

Kite lessons are provided by a professional group of people at pineroo point just north of Hillaries. They have radio head sets which enables them to talk to the person in the water which will really assist in your learning
Otherwise you can go to one of the kite board shops and they will have a list of names that can help you.
I know there are people in Rockingham and another crew who work off woodmans point.
To start you need to be on flat water which means that you shouldn't start at Leighton.
I also have a name of a guy Lionel Bass in City Beach who takes small groups to one on one, he has been instructing for years and taught me.
