hay all
just need to figure out where best location in and around perth is for not just kiteing but a beginner coastal pg site would be nice aswell. also if its cheap as **** to rent would be good. one of those suburbs that only has the low quality cheap supermarkets and not the fancy woolys
cheers
Try live around safety bay or secret harbour. Waves at secret harbour and flat water at safety bay.
These areas are among the cheapest in Perth.
I found a website for paragliding www.dufty.id.au/hgawa/sites/perth/perth.html
It's says wanbro beach is good.Wanbro is in between safety bay and secret harbour.
yep thats what ive figured so far. and there is even a few chippy/concreter jobs going "south of the river ?" thats how you western wierdos say it right? :D
what can i expect crime wise then? surf key around neck and never on the tire? keep equipment hidden under bed or is it okay in the shed? anyways all looks promiseing except that whole poledancers only zone?!? and just to clarify its not a requirement in perth to have helmet and pfds and flares and **** is it?
Theres is some crime in the area and usually petty crime.I would avoid leaving kiting gear in your car and yes get a water proof pouch for your key!.I
If you go more than 400 meters offshore you need the pfd's and flares..So far I have not seen one person do this.It doesn't effect me because I do down winders and don't tack out that far.
Try 20 minutes south of mandurah aswell ..some good kiting spots down there.Just get a slab of export and some winny blue's and rock up to the beach in a flanny and say ahhhh ****...you ****s got any chippy, house bashing work ...lets go kiting ahhhhh ****!!! .Heaps of land release down there so theres lots of building work going on.
you must be a diamond if you think im into house bashing?!?! mate im a bloody wood butcher nothing i build lives for longer then 24 hours. and what sort of flash blokes you go kiteing with that can afford tailors ay?
just kidding cheers for advice :) shame about the pfds and flares i thought the misses was jokeing. mandurrah to perth really only take 50 minutes?!? ill see what turns up realestate wise...
wish there was a pg pilot in here to help me out with this hill business. the ones ive spoken to elsewhere are all pretty negative about the coastal flying not chaseing chamonix just after a nice clean trainer hill to throw the misses off every now and then. warnbro still seems like it. cant believe only ONE pg school in whole of WA i thought it was a joke at first.
