Kite cafe in Ocean Reef. Went by today and the store still had the external logos but was close to empty.

Had a nice dinner in there with the family a few months ago amongst all the kite gear :)

Found out they were expecting a bub early April - the same day as us. Hope it went ok for them.

Not sure but there was a post under kitesurfing events saying the business was for sale due to unforseen circumstances.

Man that's a shame, Heinz (spelling?) is such a nice bloke, very helpful, and the coffee there was fantastic as well

Best of luck to him and family wherever he's ended up

Just found a link about selling the store: www.seabreeze.com.au/Classifieds/Miscellaneous/~b4zi6/Kite-Surfing-Cafe-Business-Opportunity-Ready-To-Go.aspx

That's a bit of a shame

I heard they'd had a bubs. A friend looked into buying it (maybe....) Wasn't totally convinced on the location though Was it busy as a kiteshop? or mainly the cafe? Seems a little out of the way, no?

unforseen circumstances = no sales, rubbish location....

you dont walk away from a profitable business if it's profitable...

Unforseen circumstances= strata company hugely increasing the rent due to refurbishment of the shopping centre......... Heinz was smart enough to do the maths... I have never met a more forthright retailer in this business yet.
