Hi all,

I am around 100kgs, what kite should i get for the average 15-22 knot winds? I am thinking of a switchblade 2 14m?

Hey Erozion,

A 14m or preferably a 12m would do you fine for Perth Summer. I weigh 90 kilos and rarely use more than an 11m. If you go the 14m you'll definately need a 10m also as you'll get flogged on the windier days. If you only want one kite, I'd go the 12m.

Perth regularly gets wind far exceeding 22 knots, especially in November/December and a 14m isn't fun in strong wind.

Good winds,

Matt,

Perth has some or sum winds, so switch blade are A great kite for more experienced riders. you should consider a easier more versatile kite like a convert or a omega in 12meters.with the ability to change the set up from 2;1 to 1;1
that way on your not so windier days it is easier to fly and you can use a surf board.
Happy kiting

I've only been kiting for 1 season, I'm 83kgs and have a 12m convert. I wish I'd gone down to a 9m or 10m, so all things being proportionate, I reckon a 12m would do you nicely at 100kg for most of the Perth days
