A workmate who lives in South Yunderup told me he had seen people kiting out where the river runs into the estuary. I went for a look but on an un-windy arvo so I obviously couldn't see any kiters and in fact the only place I could get to any water was at the boat ramp which is on a canal or at a spot that in the UBD is just called "Lake" which looked very shallow and salty. Was he seeing things or was I looking in the wrong places? Can someone help me out, it would be a handy spot for me to spend some time.

Go murray waters boulevarde off south yunderup road. follow it around almost to talara???place. Theres a stinky pond which Ive kited and theres a walk around to the limestone wall. Launch just from there as it is ankle deep for Kms. Some spots are stinky some are great. Remember to keep out of the boating channel. My mum used to live down there. Works NW-S

Thanks Dave, exactly the info I was after. I'll chuck my gear in the boot next time I'm heading down that way.
Cheers
