I was disheartened to read the article " Kite surfers leave wave of complaints in wake" on page 61 of the West Australian on Saturday. The article appeared to focus on some anecdotal concerns and not real complaints or injuries caused by rogue kiters.

Does anybody know who was the kite-surfer in the photo?

Also, Alex Bell, the President of WAKSA, had only one short quote. I am sure he expressed in detail our concerns as a community that we endeavor to avoid being banned at WA beaches.

Congrats to all those who kite at Scarborough and City Beach, as the article stated that the respective councils had not received any complaints this season.
