I've done my lessons at the end of last season with WA Surf, which was extremely helpful.
I'm thinking about skipping outta work Thursday morning to get some of those 17-20kn winds, but I'm kinda ****ting myself after reading all the danger stories on here...lol, wondering if that's gonna be too much wind for my skill level and 12m Cabrinha...
I was wondering if anybody knows any instructors in that area (Mullalloo/Pinaroo) that I might be able to work with for an hour??
....I've realised I've never actually had to launch the kite myself, it was always my instructor (I was just the monkey on the kite end), and I've never actually had to land the kite back on the beach when coming out of the water. I'm also a bit vague on the self-recovery, as I only had to do it the one time months ago, so am hunting around for some DVD's to help me remember.
The bit in the middle I've definitely got...lean back, swing through the window and the kite pulls me out of the water. Now I just have to figure out how to make the board move with me when the kite does that :), so I'm sure I'll be getting plenty of face plants on my first day back out again.
Hi Andrew,
It would be in your best interest to get your self rescues dialed in before venturing out into these locations, As for each location Pinnaroo is probably your best bet until your pretty confident as it's a bit more forgiving than Mullaloo as it's pretty choppy there.
The guys that are about at those beaches are Darren and Rob you can find there details on there websites and give them a hoy they'd be more than happy to get you on your way kiting.
Pinnaroo Point: is Darren Marsh, found here:

Mullaloo Beach is Rob Gannon, found here:

Hope this helps
Enjoy & stay safe
Thanks for that Flux, that'll definitely be helpful.
Does anyone have Rob Gannon's mobile number, as it's not on his website...
I'll try giving Darren a call anyway. Cheers
