Said before but great shots. I can not help but like the dark slide photos but the hand drag on the sand is just classy. Well done![]()
Pond has turned into like a 10yr old junior jump, show us your tricks. like to see you bust **** out the back of penguin island yah noob. .
Should mabe try and leave the kids aquarium and learn how to kitesurf properly. You have to let-go of the tit at sometime.
ironbark, lynxmoO, 2old2quit - hey thanks for the positive comments fellas. Can't help but be impressed by the incredible skill level of these guys. Jawdropping action this arvo.
And credit where credit is due - the concept for the pic with the sand coming off the board was set up by another photographer who was down there - I just happened to be close by when he set it up - hope I didn't get in your way dude : )
hey mate,
Awesome photos!
What camera and lens do you use?
Thanks Cj - Nikon D7200 with 18-140mm kit lens - still working out how to drive it but getting there. Dream lens would be the 70-200 f2.8.
Great shots as per usual Mat Black - you really do make us look better than we are hahaha..........
Have i missed something here though??? The comment from NoWindSurfer seems very negative........

cool! what zoom are you shooting these pics at?
140mm?
I have a sony A7ii and trying to get some kite shots, but only have a 28mm lens F2 and 28 - 70mm kit lens. Trying to figure out what a decent lens for kiting would be.

Think he might be having a dig at the boys, what a hero deciding to target kids, he is just a windsurfer poor fella, the windsurfing section gets a bit boring doesn't it look at me go straight and then turn around and go straight, gave that s__t up years ago.
Just wondering if it is the same poledancer that tried to mow down my boy in the kiteboarding area yesterday, very brave dude this one, singled out the only child on the water.
By the way NoWindsurfer the reason the boys are only boosting is because they weigh 30kg and are out in 30 knots, dad doesn't think it is wise for a 30kg person to unhook in those conditions.
Go the Groms
He seems pretty agro does nowindsurfer,
But not getting this 30kg kid stuff, the pics aren't kids and look more than 30kg to me, is the pics missing something?
ps nice flat water for 30knots and thanks for the pics

Mostly shot between 90 - 120mm. The unique thing about 'The Pond' for KS photography is that you can be literally metres from the action with the sun behind you. def a bigger lens in the future but.
