Hi, I'm on holiday in Perth early October and just trying to work out whether its worth bringing my gear? (8m&10m)

From what I've read it seems this is very early in the Perth season so there's a small possibility of getting some alright winds during this period?

I'm also tossing whether I actually lug my gear over or is there somewhere that would hire gear out for the day(s)?

Thanks in advance.

How long of a holiday?

Most reliable sea breezes normally only start by mid October in Perth... In the last 5 years in Perth there has been between 7 and 15 days of 15knots + winds in October, and 90% of those were past mid October...

With most airlines allowing extra oversize baggage for cheap I don't see why you wouldn't bring your own gear... But if you're only here for the first 2 weeks of October and you don't head up North WA you might be disappointed.

To my knowledge no one hires kite gear anymore in Perth, but I could be wrong

Thanks for that information, I'm only there for two weeks which looks like it could be a bit hit and miss lol.
Anyway I might just have to risk not using my gear, better than kicking myself when the winds up?

Cheers
