Given youre a kiter youre prob bit of an adrenaline junkie. Just wondering if you get a bit of a rush from these sports?

Let me know your experiences.

Used to skydive, own gear and such.
Never done paragliding or hanggliding.. but I suppose when skydiving you can opt for more canopy time by pulling higher which would be similar to paragliding. Quite slow though and a wee bit boring so I never really pulled high..if anything pulling low is more exciting Don't try that at home kids.
Both sports are quite particular about conditions and I wouldn't describe either as 'adrenaline sports'... think you can do it out at York if you're dead keen.

Paragliding yes. For a rush, you need a high mountain or a skill to thermal properly with more than 6,8 or 10m/sec up to the cloud base (or inversion).
On a 3000 m plus it is you and a guys below on a hanggliders (sorry my fellow pilots:).
Than you might a spiral down for a bit or do >100 km cross country flying (google 100 Miles From Bakewell).
It is not something that will give you a rush though. It is slow most of the time. The best would be to try a glider in York with a pilot (ask for some acrobatics as well).
If you like that you might like those too.

My "main" sport is paragliding n my best day flyin was more of a rush than my best day kitesurfin (sorry guys).
Nothing better than flyin arond at 4000ft with some eagles (untill they attack you as they did to me a month ago).
The advantage with kites, for me, is i can be back home in 2 hours after a good session. Parragligin takes most of the day.
Generally Hang Gliders fly in a higher wind range (than para), so if your a kiter, go the paraglider in light winds kite in strong winds!
