I'm off to Karratha for 6 months in April. Does anyone know if there's anywhere to kite up there? How windy does it get?

There are some crew at lambert too. Usually bigger kites, but from memory April May can get some nuking easterlies?
Hope you've got flexible work hours, as it is sometimes on in the mornings, not always seabreeze type winds, too

Good luck!

Good kiting in Karratha. Easterlies in the winter and westerly in the summer. Both can be kited on in lots of different locations. I used my 12m kite the most. Search Pilbara kiteboarding on facebook. Good group of guys up there. Bring all your kites.

We've taught a fair few people from headland and Karratha in Exmouth in the last year. Would appear to be a pretty good growing scene up north.

I've never kited there but from reports bigger kites are the norm.
