Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows about locations for kitesurfing in Mandurah. My in laws just bought a house in the marina next to the Seashells resort and this summer will there a fair bit!!

Cheers

Yeah I've only kited there once but just looked on google and had a session over on the north side of the inlet off near pinjarra road somewhere. Was a good flat water spot, bit shallow and muddy but now one around good on the sw.

Thanks for the suggestion Stewart25!! I'll probably go to this place with my in law's rubber dinghy!

One spot that I'll give a go this weekend is the beach next to the Seashells resort. Do you know if there is any restriction for that place?? I haven't seen anyone kiting there!
The other spot in Nairns I'll go to teach my brother that is going to be here on holiday, looks very safe for newbie!

dont think theres many, if any restrictions down that way (on the beaches). Just use common sense and keep well away from any built up areas, flagged areas, swimmers etc. Best go to one of the deserted beaches and you'll be sweet.

Hey, I just checked where the Seashells resort is..
Doesnt look like a good place to kite at all! On a SWer its going to be offshore and all that beach along there, the wind is going to be disrupted by the peninsula = bad.
Go to the west side of the peninsula on the Halls Head side.

Thanks man!
Saturday it will be NW and should be alright for that beach but in SW I have to go somewhere else!!

I'd give that particular beach at seashells a miss altogether. NWer will be very onshore and due to the nature of NWers (gusty and unpredictable) its a recipe for disaster. A short drive from there can save a lot of trouble

Thanks Stewart25!!
I went for a drive down there last Saturday with that crap weather and it looks like a good flat water spot as you said. Looking forward some sick sessions there!
