Hey Kiters!
Summer is nearly here and the wind is starting to pick up here in Perth. In Dongara, it’s nuking! Check out the snapshot forecast on Seabreeze, there’s more than enough wind to kite every day for the next week!
So, we’ve decided to head up to Dongara NEXT WEEKEND (13 – 15 November), with all the latest gear. We will have our full range of kites and boards available for demo, as well as SUP polo equipment and a range of Starboard SUPs (in case of light wind or as a morning activity). We’re also going to set up a tent and BBQ on the beach (BYO). There’s already a bunch of us heading up, so it’s sure to be a good time.
There’s going to be a few of our sponsored riders up there showing off what you can do with our new gear and giving you advise if required!
If you’re itching for a trip, want to check out the new gear or just keen to progress with your kiting, come on up! Make your own way, find your own accommodation, but let us hook you up with gear to try and lunch on the beach! Check out more info on FB Airborne Kitesurfing Road Trip and to let us know if you are going to join us.
Hope to see you up there,
Enjoy the season,
Ian, Will and Jo
Airborne Kitesurfing
Most of us Mid-West guys don't get out of bed for anything less than 25 knots but for you Perth folk it might count as nuking.
Leave the sups and bring some decent tent pegs, 9am it was over 20 , you might have to pitch at slsc as there's a deep layer of very fine soft sand in places, last 5 or 6 days have been well powered conditions for 9-10mtr kites
Is it my reading of forecast or there is no wind for next few days?
Been cranking up here, with overpowered conditions, there's a definate change today, muggy warm feeling, I'd say it's going to be a bit unsettled till this system clears
Looks like it'll be cranking this arvo and it'll be back on Sunday. Saturday does look iffy, but we've packed 15 stand up paddle boards for people to entertain themselves with! One way or another, it's gonna be a blast!
Gero airport is 39.9 degrees and stinking easterly, Gero port outer channel marker is now showing just shy of 20 knots on a sou'wester. If it hits the beach it might just smash in
