Is the Pond dead ?

This topic comes up every year,
I was there yesterday and had the pond to myself for a bit ,it was close to low tide, there isn't much usable deepwater so when the windy season starts it's going to be cramped in there.

She is done for, maybe next year the sand bar will have moved far enough in that it opens the pond back up again.

Also, if you fall in there you're pretty much swimming in sewers water.
