Thumbs Up

Or are too many people just learning by themselves , or getting an inexperienced mate to them? Twice now this season while being launched I've have someone just let go of the kite before I looked at them and gave the thumbs up.
Safety rule #1 of launching someone's kite. look for them to give you a definitive thumbs up!!! Both times, they just let the kite go without warning and while I was looking to see that the lines were good. The latest incident this morning could have turned out really badly. I'm grateful that I'm not injured, or worse.

It's becoming a bit of a worry these days when you're in a spot where self - launching isn't a good idea and you're relying on someone you might not know to launch your kite. I've been kiting for 20 years and have never had a problem like this until this season. What has changed?

...I have a theory on that
But it's probably not liked.....

'KA' has changed ....the whole KA affiliation thing just makes people blase'...
...waaay too blase. .(..blasee../..blasiert)

They then just assume that because they are a part of 'KA' its the only thing that matters .
They assume everone instantly knows their lines are clear and don't have to even bother waiting for a thumbs up

Or wingers is another theory....who are bored of kiting &just see kiters as messy people with seaweed in their lines...

Try launching down the bottom of some cliffs and jumping off rocks to get out U KA groupies(not all)... bet U can't aNd hang your tether off a cliff in the wild ...

Vdws have great thumbs

I can safely say that every German thumb I have come across is my favourite ....
...Except for one ...
