Sorry if a post already exists. I couldnt find any.

Im going to be in Eagle Bay for a couple weeks starting dec. Should have a car for most of the time.

Where are the best spots around there? More into flat water than waves , but any info would be much appreciated.

Could some one please provide info or point me in the right direction?

Thanks
K

You have probably posted in the wrong forum - KiteSurfing / General would be better. Do a search for Dunsborough, Yalingup, Busselton, Margaret River as this topic has been covered a bit before.

It's rare to be able to kite Eagle Bay as the headland blocks the SW sea breeze and the E comes over land. You need a N or NW - even N it a bit too onshore.

I don't how well you know the area but this problem is quite typical of the region "South" of Eagle Bay- it's pretty wild either rocky bays with interrupted wind or the wide open areas either have lots of hazards or aren't subject to the prevailing winds. You can easily find yourself in a situation of wind deadspots close to reef outcrops and strong tides.

The good news is that you are close to Busselton which is better placed for the prevailing winds.

I will also PM the details of a guy who may be able to give some better advice.

Cheers.
