I am coming from Singapore and kiting in WA. I wanted any recommendation as to where is the most convenient place to rent a house/hotel and be able to WALK to the kiting beach and some cafes restaurants. I have been in Fremantle but kiting seemed rare. One needed to go up to Leighton beach which was good but not walking distance with kids. Would you recommend along Swan river? or Cottlesoe? I just know the names I have not kited there. I would prefer waves but more important is just location. Ok to drive to Margaret River. Augusta seemed good but a little too far, though I loved the wave/flat water option.

Stay at cottesloe or Scarborough both have a few accommodation options and you can walk to the beach .
cottesloe is more family friendly, in my opinion, short walk from the train so has better options for getting around.
Wind at this time of yEar is inconsistent though.
