Try the Hookup & Newbie threads as well if you're looking for kite buddies at a similar level.
Good to hear you are learning to body drag it's a very important skill!!! I would suggest you combine this with learning to get up on your board which will give you a target to body drag to if you fall off.

if you don't mind me asking - whats your body weight ?
Reason i'm asking is because you are using a 9m. I'm a beginner too and have been using a 7m - when i got a 12m i find it 10 times easier to use. I live in bunbury and kite on flat water in the estuary so its not a dangerous area.

I'm 90 kgs. Bunbury sounds great. Haven't been there yet. i am new to Perth but would keep it in mind when I do some exploring for sure.
