Just looking for someone who can help with a repair, or guide me in the right direction of someone? It started with a chip so used araldite to seal it in hope it would solve the problem, but it was a fail, board seems to be getting heavier.
Hoping for a quick fix!
Well you just learned good lesson about araldite, it's crap, it's not same base material won't adhere properly, different chemical properties.
If you have to do running repair, the best stuff is the mouldable epoxy composite, even get this stuff at bunnings.
Any leak crack no matter how small will let water in and once in i like cancer, spreads, on a further repair of that board you will have to open it up and remove all damaged internal foam, this stuff soaks up any moisture, hint the reason your board is getting heavier.
Have had repairs in shop before where one small 2mm hole has soaked the whole board meaning outside looked okay but the whole inside was rotten, usually with epoxies and sandwich.
So you must stop the leak, cut out the affected section and get or do a proper repair with proper materials.
All info on that is already on site, just use the search section.
Thanks for the reply Werty, and the advice!
Ended up getting in touch with a shaper who can give it a proper fix. Hopefully it's not a massive repair.
Thanks again..
