Hi guys,

I'm driving from SA to WA for a 5 week road trip in late Dec/Jan. Doing some sailing comp. in Mandurah then driving back slowly down through SW WA camping/kiting/fishing and basically living the good life for three weeks. Getting pretty excited!
Any recomendations for good Kiting and/or Camping spots would be greatly appreciated?
Dont have much of a plan as yet. So far Augusta, Margaret river and Esperence are about the only places on the list. I'm an intermediate rider on a twiny, but still like a blast in the surf despite its lack of credibility amongst some.
Most likely taking a Forester which punches above its weight on sand trails but does have limitations. Still a chance of taking a proper 4wd however, so any recomendations beyond the ability of the foz would still be appreciated.

cheers in advance!

anywhere along the sw coast is a good kite... Augusta is well worth the stop if you like flat water.... Esperence is a wicked spot too..... drive during the morning and kite where you stop in the arvo....

Hey Muirs, some of the tracks around the Margs/ Augusta area can get pretty deep and also a bit rocky, not sure a Forester will cut it unless it's been lifted. Don't know about further west. If you surf aswell I would think about a different car as half the spots might be inaccessible.

mmm thought that might be the case. almost bought a patrol last week but bailed on it. its all a bit late now so the foz will have to suffice, hopefully wont be too limiting as its no lifted. it does punch above its weight though. cheers for the advice guys, hopefully will still find some good spots!
