Gday all, Just after a bit of advice. Im going to be in Perth for a coupla weeks around chrissie. All I have is a 12m airush lithium and a surfboard. I'm 85 kg. Is this kite going to be too big? I'm about intermediate level, but used to kiting 15-20knots on this kite. Cheers.

Thanks Austin. It's all I have. I live in Broome. Might have to stick to surfing. Cheers

can you get your hands on a twinnie mate?
at your weight and if you feel safe/comfy to hold it down up to 25kn at least you can get out there still and do some launching off the odd ramp when you would be unable to enjoy cruising on the surfboard otherwise.

also perth breeze will usually be 15-20 for the first couple of hours and steadily build, so you might be able to target a kiting window from 11 to 2pm, and then pack down before the 6-8m kites come out to play

I have an old Slingshot Rally 10m you could probably borrow if you need one

At 85kg, 12m will be fine most days, just head out a bit earlier before the breeze really starts cranking.

Most summer days in Perth the seabreeze comes in at around 15-20knots from lunch time to early arvo, before picking up to 20-25knots+ in the late arvo, evening.

Thanks guys! Great advice. I was coming down for a bit of family stuff in Perth but have been really enjoying kiting lately. So I think I'll chuck the 12m in the board bag and pick my times. Cheers!
