I was out on my 5 meter kite from 730 to 10:00 am. The waves were waist high at the back . Lost of people after 10:00 am.

Can someone tell me that it was still too windy for my 12m kite at 4pm so I can feel better about not going? I'm still trying to get her indoors to sign off on a second smaller kite.

The 12 woulda been too big today.... I was on an 8 and those 40 knot gusts were getting a little sketchy at the top end. Other than that, best session I've had in ages. :)

Out between 8:30-11am waves were great, nearly overpowered on a 7m. Must have left at the right time since wind dropped...or it came back with me.

Love it guys!!!! Looks like it was awesome.

Tomorrow and Tuesday are my days to hit the water, looks to be keeping the northerly trend so Rosebud it is for me!

Everyone went home at 4:30pm... Just 3 or 4 of us left after about 5pm. I think we were all on 11s or 12s by then (although well powered - I was halfway trimmed for a lot of it).

Earlier in the day was certainly smaller kite weather - I got there at noon after the biggest winds and was still well lit on my 10m. I'm also ~90kgs.

Superb day.
