Hey All,
I'm just about to buy a 4wd and I'm keen to go on some kiting or surfing adventures. Any hot tips on some spots that are a little more remote than the usual sealed or gravel road spots?

I'm kind of hoping for some options for weekends away from Melbourne. I think that may be a little far, could be an option for an Easter trip though. A quick search revealed little more than Cape Otway and Johanna etc.

Perfect choice!
Just came back from a family trip to SA. Plenty of places and you double them with a 4WD.
Just check Lipson cove or the Coffin Bay and Lincoln NP's.

What about Sandy point? Looks like there's beach access?

I believe Its illegal to drive on beaches in Victoria, with the exception of one beach which you need to be a member of the local dune buggy club

I've been to Sandy Point with my Commodore wagon, that doesn't really count. Beach driving doesn't fuss me, I just want to hit some less frequented spots, get away from the crowds.

Well aware, thanks. I'm just interested in some beaches that you need a 4wd to get to.
