Got a plan for east coast in June. Driving with Mitsubishi wagon where is in matress, kitesurf setup and acoustic guitar from Melbourne-Sydney-Brisbane-Cairns-Darwin.
Problably start is first or second week in June.
Wondering maybe someone got similar about surf safari ?
Any further information is available about me or the roadtrip

I'm leaving Melbourne to Sydney tomorrow and plan to do the same kinda road trip along the East Coast. I've got a wagon as well and just bought a second hand kite setup. I'm looking for kitesurfer travelmates to share the fun.

Wow ! Sounds like a great trip , make sure when you get to Cairns , spend a couple grand and do Ants Kitesurfari ! I have never done the tour but I am a local and I was a pro fisherman on the East coast for twelve years , and I have seen the coast where they operate .

If there is wind when you drive through Rockhampton give me a bell, I'll take you to some awsome flatwater
Town beach at Mackay is kilometers of flat water on low tide - bit of a walk out though 
Bowen, 200km north of mackay. Great spot. Regular crowd. We get a lot of visitors from all over Queensland. Choppy water at the front beach though this time of year
Wondering, Town Beach is good this weekend or need to go to Bowen with S/SE? Im able to go on fri - sun/mon if someone is there too
