Noobie here checking in. You will see me eating **** and walking back up Pinnaroo beach with the blue crossbow. Come say hello :)
Such an awesome session at safety bay today. 3 hours and I'm destroyed now. Spent the day on the twin tip practicing popping to toeside and carving transitions so I can get comfortable on my surfboard so i'll finally get out and use it.
I'll be away for a week or 10 days but i'll take a few days off when I get home. Really keen to do a downwinder and catch up with some of you.

heading out to leighton surf club in the next hour.

i'm a 33yr old bloke.
I'm only into my second season but into downwinders already, and NONE of my mates kite or get midweek off... just need a buddy to be the second driver in the downwinder, Perth drivers have something against barefoot hitchhikers i think. I live north freo and can see leighton from my place so that is my local usually. i'm a surfer, but kiting seems to open up a whole new world when that breeze starts a blowin.
Will be away for work til 5th jan, then will be back into it. Give me a sms if anyone keen to catch up 0447 529 863.

I've got the day off Friday so I'll be out kiting. Shoot me a PM if anyone is keen to come along or meet up.
Hi guys,
I would put myself in the newbie category as I have just got myself some kit and havent kited in Perth yet. I have been kiting in Boracay in the Philippines and can ride but am not that confident yet to be out there on my own.
Would be great to meet up with some other newbies to share the learning experience.
I live in West perth and have a car so would be able to help out with trips.
Just bought a kite, looking to do some lessons next week and get out there as much as possible. Lots of experience with my trainer and wake boarding. Any other newbies around Murdoch/leeming? Cheers!
Hi,
I live up in Ridgewood (Near Clarkson) and am looking for another noob to kite with! I have transport and am happy to travel but would like to find someone at a similar skill level as me! I can get up and riding everytime but still struggle to get out of the water where I got in and not 100 meters up the beach!!
Only just moved up North, I used to kite on the flat shallow water of Pelican Point so not sure how Pinnaroo is going to work for me in the chop!!
Happy to travel around the state too if I can! Thinking about a road trip up to Denham (Shark Bay) in the near future, Lancalin's only 45 mins up the road and maybe Gero every couple of months!
Let me know if your interested or if you have any suggestions!
Stu,
you might consider Cervantes, 2 hrs NORTH, good wind, protected bay with fairly flat water. The backpackers lodge is very reasonable, cheaper than camping.
