Leave the kite gear at home and throw the surfboard in
It's always wort throwing a kite in the car just in case. I went up for a surfing trip a couple years back in mid August. Sick swell! Had one day on the kite with a light 15-18 knot SW and NO poleys or other kites to be seen

Just perfect 1.5 to double overhead perfection in pretty clean conditions.
Tides were a bit low which made it rather sketchy, and nearly ate it somethin' fierce on many occassions.
True seabreeezes don't start crankin' up there until around mid September. But by that time every poley and kiter is descending upon the place and it is just a disaster.

Throw in the surfies, and a kite and if you get a chance to ride the kite, well then thats a bonus.

Just make sure you are on your game up there. It's no place for the in experienced

Cheers,
KH
