Thanks Gilley's. My avatar is a entanglement representation of the love between polies and tea baggers. Do you you know a instructor with firm hands who who can un ravel my bar. I saw a lovely European instructor at kfc kfc teaching the other day. . Looks like he has great board skills. Saw his add on gumtree. Yummy

hahaha yeh cheapest on the coast. he will tell you where to plug the pump into and everything. a few of the guys hes taught have been doing crazy insane tricks like beach slide into rocks. and they even have some good launching techniques some of them can do a few kite loops on the sand before it goes up.

Ahh ajs18s,

have you not heard of the saying "The bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the sweet taste of a low price is forgotten"

I would suggest to contact the guys at Surf FX the biggest local kite surf shop on the Goldy and a site sponsor here on Seabreeze and I'm sure you will get good sound advice and steered in the right direction

Best righthander I've kited.

Any of you northern QLD kiters getting the mad gusty, squally crap at the moment?

took my 12 out yesterday, but actually needed a 14m for about 20 mins, then a 6m for about 30 mins....

inbetween the showers, it was OK. gusty as hell.

This was tuesday. Forecast isnt very accurate:

Up in Bowen has been a consistant 25-30k, was out yesterday on my 8m vegas, was 33k buy the time I finished. Tried today and could barely walk my kite down to set my lines up it was that strong so I bailed, bit beyond my level I think. would of been 35-40 I think. Better wait for this cyclone to piss off.

Yea SB... I went out after speaking to you and it was bloody painful. Nicely lit and hooking up wind one minute and the next struggling to get back to the beach!!. It didn't help that there was a massive sweep heading north and the river was running in..!!.
Gonna do a downwinder on Saturday if your keen if the winds still on.

Felt like there was nothing on the beach over at Buddina around 2'ish so I put the 11 up with the big TT. Plenty of wind up high though, was fully lit the whole time.. strange.
