Hi all,
Can anyone sum up the general weather pattern (highs, ridges, troughs etc) that has occurred over the last few days to give us all the excellent 15-20k northerlys in SEQ? It wasn't just a standard arvo sea breeze was it? It would be good to keep an eye out for the same weather pattern in the future. Any wise words would be greatly appreciated.
cheers.

Hi 2shots,

The NE pattern that has just been, it our usual summer pattern but last year the summer high's weren't sitting low enough. This year it appears that the high's are sitting lower, which is perfect for our seabreezes. We also need the water to stay cooler, as if our water temp rises to much it doesn't suck the seabreezes in shore.
The usual pattern is either 3-4 on and 3-2 days off with seabreezes. Mostly around the 15-20 or 20-25 knots mark for NE seabreezes.
Last seasons we got a heap of east coast low's but it seems that pattern has finished for few years, apprently.
Great sign the last few weeks so fingers and toes crossed that it continues all season.
