You may need to be a little more spacific..if you look at a map Qld is a big place, were and when are you talking?,
This time of year you need to go as far north as possible past Cooktown,Don't believe a thing you read about CarIns and Port Douglas it's BSht....just got back from there a few weeks ago and only had 1 decent day in over a week, and that was only 20-25kts ,rest of week was sub 15kts,however strong wind warnings were forecast the whole time we were there??? ,wind readings on this site and the BOM web sites are way over exagurated for the wind strenght, having said that I know of a crew who just got back from Cape Flattery and it blew 30kts all day and all night...go figure..
My suggestion if you intend going north you need to go past Cooktown.
Se qld were getting a couple of sessions here and there ,the good wind for the start of the seasion is probly 6-8 weeks away ,thats when we sould start seeing some decent ne seabreezes and se trade winds .
