It sucks when the wind drops out , usually with me it blows all week when I'm working then dies in the arse on the week end ! So I went out and bought one of these !
Sunday is looking good so fingers crossed I'll have my first good session in a while.

What motor is it running? As I know the old z1000 had a slightly modified 9r motor and I'd hope that it actually has the 10r motor, just with more midrange.
Does it do good wheelies??

The old Z1000 ? How far back are you looking mate ? Clearly a trick question. This is a 2015 model , nothing like the old iron ! The only similarity is the fact it's an inline 4 ! If you want model numbers , go ask the factory ! I take Possesion this coming Wednesday . As far as I know it's geared for acceleration in the first 5 , 6 is for highway ! 
as a post script ! I still love kiting , but for me I am struggling to get on the board ! Bikes are a way of life !

Um! You might want to check the video , it's a motor bike ! I guess I could still tow a kiter with it though ! Any volunteers ?

If your Super desperate you can kite Happy Valley in a SW, with an incoming tide but its not much fun.
Or you could drive down to Bribie Is, neither option is worth it IMO.
Re Z1000 you should Def put a PCV on it and if you can send your ecu to Ivan in the USA and do some small mods it will be sooo much better. Had mine for a year and so glad i did
