Looks like its blowing westerles today.
I normally kite in Brighton but westerlies don't work there, so I'm keen to try Wello.
I know about the fine and about setting up bellow the tide mark, but was wondering about some of the logistics.. What do you do with pumps and bags and stuff... do you set up in the sand bar and then take the stuff to your car ? or do people have other "methods"?.
Is wello a busy place kiting wise. I know is busy with people but never been there while there is wind... Are there enough people to launch/land or is it self lauch/self land territory ?
Any comments welcome and I may see some of you later today so be patient on the new guy.
Cheers.
Ok... Decided to give it a try and was pleasantly suprised.
Plenty of kiters, all really helpful... Setting up and launching wasn't an issue at all, even close to high tide...
Parking was a pain but I expected that one.
Plenty of wind and works beauty on a westerly... Definitely added to my list of favourites in those conditions.
Only othe downside is the mud... Even with booties was a bit annoying (it's sticky and slippery) and now my kites needs a wash as it's really dirty from landing and packing.
Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcomed.
