Back in the mid 80s their were a few years that the storms were starting in late july. Nothing better than a NE before a storm, alwas getting stronger

I wasted my time late morning at the pier and then just as I finished packing up it really picked up. By the time I set back up again it was doing a good 18knts and I too am a bit sore. Small bitey in front of Pepper's gave me a bit of a surprise.

Hey burkey how the hell did ya see the bitey the water was really dirty down at pialba . I was only crusing around with the incoming tide in about 2-3 foot deep water was realy smooth and i like to play on the 2 foot waves . with water so dirty you must have been nearly sitting on it to see it no wonder it gave ya a bit of a scare .

In about 30cm of water right at the beach near the rock wall. Only saw a small fin about 10m away as I turned. We often see schools of 4-5 ft reef tips when we kite at Round Island. Thankfully they always take off whenever you get near.

I was lucky enough to be at Double Island on Wed when the northerly kicked in.
Had all of DI to myself and got a good 4 hours in on my Zephyr.
Absolutely fantastic session!

Looking forward to heading up there in a couple of weeks for a few days with Kitepower. Hopefully we get a bit more wind than last year. That looks like a nice spot.

Yup, I'm with you on that one. Gusts are fun but Seabreezes are my fav.

ENSO conditions are neutral (no la nina). I would be very surprised if we dont have a pumping season ahead!!!
