Hey kitesurfers out in Brisbane,
Where is the nearest place to maybe find some waves? I'm staying in Fig tree pocket in Brisbane.

Cheers

You're a fair way inland there mate. Best, closest spots are Brighton and Sandgate or wellington point and Victoria point.

mate I lived in Brisbane for a few years. Brisbane has some good riding but in reality the best thing about brisbane is it's location to the surrounding beaches. Get yourself a 4x4 vehicle and you can access some great surf spots for a kiting trip. Anywhere from Byron Bay up to Double Island Point is accessible in a day. And there's plenty of great spots in that section of coastline. Also check out the islands such as stradbroke and morton. You can take your car and you'll have the beaches to yourself for most of the time. Also, there's a couple of lakes up in the north of the Sunshine coast which are also good for some flatwater riding.

Enjoy..
Kym.
