Hey QLDer. Humble Victorian Kiter here.

I'm visiting the goldcoast for work this week. I've got my kiting gear with me and I'm keen for a few sessions while I'm in town. Any pointers on when/where to kite. I see the wind is looking good for tomorrow. Keen to ride along with any crew that head out.

Be great to ride with a few local kiters.

hey mate bit of a storm going on atm, but, shearwater n KFC n narrowneck beach are prob ur best bet

there is a link for the SE QLD area or go n see the guys at surf fx on ferry rd southport

the link is at the top of the QLD page here on seabreeze marked 'Where To kite in SE QLD - Google Map'

click on the icon where u want to kite n it will give you some info on that spot

shearwater on runawaybay av runawaybay best in SE winds good for all levels n flat water mucking around

KFC/lodders is near frank st Labrador good in SE to NE winds flat water - at high tide there is little to no beach n also lots of other swimmers n kiters

narrowneck beach is north of surfers paradice n south of the spit

but as always ask some of the locals there for tips on how the area is. hope this helps mate

Thanks for the info champ. Sadly there was no wind while I was up.

Looks like you've got some nice little kite spots up there
