Hi guys,
My girlfriend Renee and I are flying into Brisbane on November 26 to do some kiting, scuba diving and whatever else is cool to do until we take off on the 30th. FYI, she's an intermediate kiter and newbie certified scuba diver. I'm an O.G. kiter and experience diver.
Do you have any advice for affordable hotels along the Sunshine Coast that would be a good central location for kiting and diving? Just knowing what area to look would help.
I just started looking into the area so I don't know where the kite or dive spots are yet. I'm sure I can find info but if you have any local advice that would be awesome.
If there are decent waves, what shops might be around that I can rent a surf board, since I'm only able to travel with a twin tip?
What else is cool to do or see while we are there?

diving is a waste of money in australia save your $500 on 1 dive in oz and use it for 50 dives in south east asia.
Good to know. I had heard the Great Barrier reef was getting bleached out and Angel fish are devastating the other fish species.

the great barrier reef is still an amazing place to dive and is much better than anything I've seen in asia.
