Hi,

I have just moved up to Marcoola on the Sunshine coast, I was given a 12m air rush flow by my brother. I have had a couple of lessons at Marychydore and I was starting to get up on the board, so I am now keen to practice by myself.

I was just wondering where the best places to learn on the sunshine coast are. Is Boreen point on Lake Cootharaba worth going to?

Thanks,
James.

Lake Weyba is a great spot to learn, flat water and shallow for a long way out. I have only been out there (twice) when the wind is S or SE, the wind need to be around 20k or more to go there as it is surrounded by trees but there is usuaally other kiters out there to get a launch off untill your ready to do a water launch. its about 10-15 min out the back of noosaville. have a look on google earth, you can even see the shallow section on the lake that way.
