Myself and a handful of friends were lucky enough to get an awesome night kite in this week. Wanted to try it this season but needed a clear night with a good size moon and of course decent wind, With the north easters we have been having it was the perfect conditions. It was amazing to kite following a shimmer of the moon on the water. it made me realise just how little you look at the kite and more feel what its doing. We had guys on the beach at all times to keep an eye on each other and wouldn't recommend doing it without a crew of kiters that new what they were doing, but would recommend it to any competent kiter to try at least once.
How good was it jas? 1hr after the sun went down the spray glowed in the dark.Was not fortunate enough to share or be watched. Magic feeling, let your legs feel the chop and your hands read the kite. Didn't pump up till the sun went below the horizon. Still stoked wife just shook her head.
