Hey guys,
I've just brought my kite up from Vic and will be looking to catch some green arrows on Sunday. Is anyone in the area heading out? I'm thinking I'll go as far as Agnes or Yeppoon if need be (although Tannum would be easier).
I haven't seen anyone kiting around here yet so it'd be good to meet some people and find out where the good and bad spots are.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex

Just head down to Tannum mate, if there's wind there'll be someone out, just kite at the Wild Cattle creek river mouth, it's safe, if it's marginal winds try and get down there on the outgoing tide (so after lunch on Sunday) and steer clear of the flags if they're up.

Normally set up on the grass in front of the carpark south of the Lifesavers clubhouse,

Friendly crew, if you need a hand with anything just ask.

See you down there

Hey polykarb, are you going back to Vic for your three weeks? The wind was endless when I was down there last week.

EastCC, I was down at tannum the other week (without my kite) on a day with no wind forecast but there seemed to be a bit of a seabreeze coming in. Is that typical for this time of year? How strong do they get? I'm going to pitch a tent down there sunday and hope it picks up
