Hey all, i'm gonna be kiting from cairns to port douglas and back on these dates. I'm looking to meet and kite with some locals.
I'm also bringin a serious camera with me and will be looking to do some filming of some good riding to make a quick flick. PM if you're pulling some latest moves and would like to get some shots, or if you're a local and would be able to show a visitor around the place a bit :) I'll be travelling in a motorhome so can do some camping roadtrips maybe whatevs
So I'll be kiting at yorkeys knob on the weekend, then will be heading up to port douglas after that. I've looked at the forecast, and it's looking pretty good :) Is kiting up this way only busy on the weekends, or weekdays as well?
Harry, welcome to the area. Yorkeys is manic when winds 20+, with 30 busting for space on the weekends and round 10 or so on any day during the week if the wind is up. Port is apparently good to go as well. Cooktown is the goods if you can travel that far. ALWAYS windy. Blow a dog off a chain up there.
