G'day,
Does anyone know what conditions are like for kitesurfing around Mackay region from December to March? Do the humid/wet conditions produce any decent wind?

Beginner on a 16m Peter Lynn

Cheers

Daniel,
Mackay has some great spots, and the wind has been pretty kind to us this year for the most part. The direction of the wind generally dictates the beaches best suited.

On the prevailing SE breezes, Town Beach and East Point are the best rides, with Blacks Beach on a mid to lower tide being great for beginners.

Easterlys and northerley's see Blacks Beach and Bucasia Beach being the best spots, both being suited for beginners right through to advanced riders.

Joe and Mel from Adrenalin Rush Australia have a shop based in Mackay. They are pretty busy, but a great people. Drop in and see them and they can fill you in a bit more.

Cheers,

James
