Hey guys I'm getting ready to pack my gear and travel for the first time with it all overseas. Planning to jam it all in a twin tip bag, kite, board, harness, pump and lines. Any tips to help avoid damage with the airline travel? Has any1 had any problems before that might help me think ahead? Cheers.

Best tip ever.... get some plastic vacuum bags for your kites. They shrink down to next to nothing. Can easily get at Kmart or similar.

I had three bars in one of those handled shopping bags. The security guys were pretty suss about it at Cairns airport but still let me through after I told them what it was. I paid the excess luggage on the way up though so not sure how the southern security would react.
