Hi Everyone, I'm trying to get a load of kiters to get on the beach together so we can take a photo or 3 to send to the Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen. There's an organisation who have arranged this global day of action where people and communities around the world are getting together to send a message to their politicians to get serious about making a real difference for climate change. This "Kite For Climate Change" rally is just one of over a thousand similar actions around the world in over 140 countries. The photos will be used to pressure the world leaders and drive home the idea that they need to lead their governments and industry to achieve a sustainable CO2 concentration. There is only so much difference that changing light globes will make. We need the world's leaders to make united effort. They will respond to their electorates sentiment. Making some noise will make them listen and hopefully act. Driving a Prius and changing your light bulbs wont achieve much unless governments make similar efforts on international scales.
So please come to the beaches in Caloundra, on October 24th. Get your kite up for an hour around 2PM and wave to the chopper taking photos. No rules, no ego's, no competitions. Just get out and kite and show the world that you care about our future. More info at www.kitethrills.com/350
