Which Xmas? I first saw that photo about 5 years ago. The other photos taken with this shark appear to show the oil refinery on Brisbane River. But I really don't know anything about it. It posted the photos in the permanent 'shark' thread that used to be in the kitesurf general section.

I still have one other photo on my profile pictures with the shark in the trailer with a better view of the area. I am not familier with Lodders Creek, but there's a farkin big red boat in the background.

Brisbane River.
They are standing roughly where the yellow circle is. Ship is unloading explosive stuff at the dock in the red circle.
The BBC show "River Monsters" also did an episode with local guys in that spot after this was caught. They didn't get a shark but they did get a big cod.

The fishos usually park at the red arrow, there is a few cars in the current google earth photo. But in the above photo they are more like what I sugested above
It was caught during the 2007 Brisbane River Classic fishing tournament. Scales only went to 200kg and the needle was pressed hard against the max stopper. Tournament rules changed as a result to "photo and release"
The Navigation Lead marker in the background (between the 2 white cars) is at the yellow arrow.
River Monsters show caught a Cod in the same spot. They were on location for one night.
