Heading to Cairns/Port Douglas for a week or so with the family is it worth packing the Mako and the 12/10 or is the windy season on and better with the 10/7 combo any advice would be good.

I'm fairly new to the area, but I would say definitely bring your 12. I've kited Mackay, Yorkeys and Townsville over the last fortnight and 12 was fine.

I'm fairly new to the area, but I would say definitely bring your 12. I've kited Mackay, Yorkeys and Townsville over the last fortnight and 12 was fine.


Yep winds are coming baby! 12m minimum for around 80kg rider, or 14m for heavier riders.

And a 142+ board or directional. Oh and can you bring me a slab of VB? XXXX is piss weak up here. Only thing worth drinking is Coronas or diesel fuel!
