Cairns wind at easter time

Hi all,

Heading to Cairns the week after easter.
Wondering if its worth bringing my gear ? Have transport.

My advise would be check the long range forecast and subtract 10kts off it ,Or check the forecast and allow to take a kite 2 sizes bigger than what the forecast is saying ,The wind offshore on the reef is far more than along the coast.I think the wind meter at Cairns is at the take off end of the runway at the airport.

bring your gear but go to port douglas, we get real southerly wind in cairns so its almost offshore but that direction in port is cross onshore and perfect.
